Hello everyone,
we live in OC and as everyone knows there's a lot of hawks out there. We have a balcony and I want to let my puppy out there now since weather's been warming up. We have a big table and a lot of chairs on the balcony so we spreaded them all over the balcony so it won't allow a hawk to land since it is so big and the space is very limited plus it gives our puppy somewhere to hide.

I want him to be happy and be outside when I'm gone because when he's inside I have to put him in his crate and I feel bad for locking him up

Can you put chicken wire around the balcony then maybe garden netting over the top? Don't know it the netting would keep out the hawks or not but it would be easy to remove/roll back for when you wanted to be out there. I just saw an ad for an outdoor play pen for dogs that had a removeable cover to it for about $40.00 a few weeks ago but it may not fit on your balcony.
