The scent is a vanilla scent. The instructions on the package say:
Step 1: Spray the plush with a small amount of scent out of the dog's sight.
Step 2: Wave the toy in front of your dog until he or she is attracted by the scent.
Step 3: Toss it to your dog.
Step 4: Exercise and enjoy.
Bonus: Attach hook on neck to toss and reel leash for added fun. ( I'll bet you could use a retractible leash to attach it and toss, then retract it in.)
Another game suggested on another similar toy of his said to spray the scent on the toy and then hide it under one of a few similar coverings (kind of like a shell game). See if your dog can find which one it is under by using his nose.
The toys are all about 6 to 9 inches long (including feet). When you squeeze them they make that kind of quacking sound like the bigger loofah dog toys make. No squeakers, just honking/quacking type sound.
The DVD is Titled "Cesar's Way to Play with Your Dog".
