Default Something scary happened last night

Last night hubby was outside and suddenly he yelled for me to come out saying there was a stray dog. I quickly grab a jacket and went out and saw a huge dog. It was dark and all that I could see is it is huge. We called the dog but it didn't want to come to us and jogged further. There usually is no stray in our area so my guess was he belongs to someone and is lost. There were cars and I was so scared he would be knocked down before we got him. I quickly ran home to get a leash. By the time I came out he was pretty far down the street. Suddenly, I saw one of Pao's Yorkie friends in our neighbourhood walking very far down the street on leash and this big dog ran fast charging to the Yorkie!!!! Oh my God I could have died if this Yorkie is attacked. We knew the Yorkie and the owner. The Yorkie's owner couldn't hear us calling her as she was too far away and we could only watch in agony as the big dog was charging towards her 3 lb Yorkie . Suddenly the Yorkie owner turned and saw the big dog charging and quickly lift up her dog. Luckily, the big dog was afraid of her and decided to not pursue the small Yorkie.

Hubby and I proceed to go after him to try and catch him because we don't want him to harm another dog nor being knocked down by a car. I drove and hubby cycled and we went on different ways to look for it. Halfway, we met a lady (big dog's owner) saying she lost a dog and we have seen him. She said he just bolted out of the door and they have just moved in today and so I learned of where his house is. Finally, hubby found him but is not able to get a hold of him as he was big and don't look friendly and called me on my cellphone asking me to look for the owner but then very quickly after he said the owner showed up with another of their big dog (same breed I think) on leash and proceed to thank my husband and talk to my husband without even leashing the dog he just lost and found!!!!! And guess what happened when he finally turned around after talking to my husband. The dog escaped again!!!! My hubby is so mad at this guy not doing the responsible thing-leashing the dog asap. I was driving on another road while this is going on and a few minutes later the dog suddenly came from the side of a house and showed up right in front of my car. I had to brake hard and stop and got out of the car calling him.

At this point, he is pretty disorientated I would say in the middle of the road but I just don't understand why he didn't stay with his owner. He was big, looked like a mix Pitbull with Mastiff and is bigger than a Pitbull or Rottie could easily be 80-100 pounds and I am very very scared of big dogs but he was on a busy road and I don't want him to get hurt so I brave myself up. I called him and he still wouldn't come. I had to squat down to make myself small so that he would come check me out (my heart was pounding in fear but I try to act calm) and I wanted to put a leash on him and he did come near but I still couldn't put a leash on him. He didn't look that friendly. I just kept calling him asking him "you want to go home don't you" and just keep making funny noises for him to follow me until I reach his house and quickly ring the doorbell...thank goodness his guy owner is out at the back of the house and came and grab him. I gave him a preach of why he should keep them in control as he lives in front of a busy road and there are other small dogs around. He did thanked me but added a sentence of, "each time he runs out, he looked like he is running crazily through the woods or the jungle". I was like wtf, this is not an isolated incident? So it has happened before at your old area before you moved here??? Now I am worried that it would happen again. We have no fence in the backyard yet as this is a new area and I am just so afraid to walk my own dog now that I have to carry a stick and look like a lunatic lady as everyone stares at me when I walk pass. SIGH. What a night.
