I only put Milo in his crate before we go to bed at night. When I get up in the morning, I open the crate and he runs to the backyard sliding door and wait for me to open it and runs outside to do #1 and #2 and that's every morning. I leave the door open for him if he needs to go next time but he doesn't get the idea yet. He will relieve himself inside the house instead. It's a good thing that he squats when he pee. He doesn't squirt all over the place
