Just some tips from the lady that adopted our Thumper (he had some of the same problems):
1. Don't reinforce any of the negative behaviors. If he snaps or tries to fight with the other dog, put him in the kitchen or somewhere for a time-out (with a stern "No"). I would pick Thumper up when he growled or snapped, in this way I was telling him that if he growled he would get my attention.
2. Use a squirt bottle and spray him with water when he misbehaves (I didn't try this, but she said it would help).
These are just a couple of tips she gave me. Hope they help.
