Hi! I am working on this with Thor. He wasn't around many dogs during his formative years, so his doggy manners aren't that good. He usually begins by barking his head off when he sees a dog and then he cowers, submits, and hides behind me.
The most effective thing for me so far has been taking him to doggy daycare. I still make an effort to take him to parks and let him meet other dogs, but every time he goes I can see his confidence increase a notch.
