I wouldn't be too upset with your vet office (although I would talk to the vet, not the receptionist). Too many pet medications online are counterfeit and the dog is then unprotected. A lot come from out of the country and that may be okay and it may not. So they probably just want to check and make sure there isn't a problem more often. I am not saying 1800petmeds is a problematic site but I have read at least one report about issues, so I don't think it's unreasonable of the vet to be concerned. That said, Ellie's vet never hesitates to give me prescriptions.
