Hello! We have now had our Yorkie for about a week and a half. Her name is Sophie and we think she is 6 years old. We already have three other dogs and a cat and didn't intend on getting any more animals. But here she is! My step-daughter went to get a dog for her grandmother and brought Sophie home. I fell in love with her and so we are keeping her. I am not happy about where she came from though. It seems that the lady had 30 dogs and was just breeding the heck out of them. Sophie seems to have some socialization issues, is not house broken, and I have had a hard time getting her to eat. But every day we make a little more progress. I was worried that she was going to be sick but so far all she has is a yeast infection in her ears. I took Sophie to the vet today and she is now on some meds. I am enjoying all the pictures and posts on this site. I am glad to see the posts on here about puppy mill dogs as well. It makes me feel better to know that with hard work and patience Sophie will get better. I am looking forward to getting to know everyone on here.
