I do have a trimmer left over from my other dog. I used to trim him up a little, but he was a much larger dog.

The nail file is not a good ideea for the dognails,coz as we all know,they have stronger nails als we,humans.I clip 1 time/ month for every dogs of mine,generaly after the bath.
So it will be much better,if you will start to get him costumde with that operation from younger age.If you were not living on the other side of the wolrd,i maight showed you ....but is not the case....but i'm sure ,if you are going to a groomer and you will '' try to steal some grooming tips" it will go easy. Just take it easy,do not be nervouse when you are grooming your dog,coz the little creature will feel it and than you will be in trouble.
