In response to your question on the certificate, I don't think it is anything official to the AKC. What is show is SophieKates "pedigree" is it titled a "certicate of pedigree" and it shows the family tree. It is nice to have but not sure how official it is.
Sunnie, thank you for the idea on calling the AKC I am going to call them right now.
I will keep you posted on what I find out. I am sure I am not the only poor soul who purchased a dog from Petland and never received the paperwork. Hopefully if I find anything I can help the next person.
