I just wanted to update:

We are still waiting for our leash and harness, but I realized we had a sweater that has a harness attachment on it, so we started early. He has done well for the most part. I stayed outside with him for a while this a.m., but he was way too interested in sights and sounds to concentrate on peeing and pooing. He came in and peed in the floor, I immediately took him outside. A little bit later, he went outside again, he peed, never pood, and when we finally came inside, he decided to poo. UGH! Oh well. I am torn whether to leave a pee pad in his x-pen or just clean it off the floor for accidents. At any rate, I'm working on it.
