Default Question about keeping puppy warm at night

We pick up our new puppy this afternoon. Since we turn our thermostat way down (63) at night, I am concerned about keeping him warm. With Doolittle, we crated him at night and I put a heating pad on low under the crate and a blanket over the top. That seemed to keep the crate at a nice temperature. We have decided to use a larger pen for the new puppy at night and crate only during the day. I'm worried he won't be warm enough though and I don't want to raise the temperature and our heating bills.
