Has he been socialized?? been around many people or animals? If not that is probably the reason. Puppies need to be around other people and dogs to learn how they are supposed to act and get fedback from other dogs by smelling them etc. You might want to take him with you to like walmart and just walk aroung with him in your arms, as people come up to see him and pet him( believe me THEY WILL) just hold him snuggly and tell him it's ok, your ok, no ones gonna hurt you etc. just letting him smell and let others touch him should help alot. giving him some confidence. if you are comfortable enough let him on the floor on a leash of course and see how he acts. then you might try letting him see some small dogs and smelling their butts, that's how they get to know each other. When in the car besure he is in a kennel or in an aproved harness hooked to the seatbelt so he will be secure. don't force the food, he might get alittle and not want food. besure you do try to get him to drink even if you need to use a syringe to encourage him. I hope this will help your little guy feel more confident. Let us know hoe it goes.... introduce him to lots of different sounds/smells/activities. I have had Yorkies since 1976 and am Not a breeder. We currently have 4 Month old brother & sister. so far they have been great with everything.Good Luck, Sharon
