I don't know of any professional groomers who will take a dog without the rabies shot which is the last series they get.
I have gotten good with the scissors and can trim the ears, feet, and bottom. I trim my older girl in between grooming so I have that down. My youngest has her shots but I hate to take her because she will not sit still to be groomed. I am worried she will come back with an injury from squirming. I have been getting the vet to do nails because that is one thing I do not like to do. Since she will not allow me to use the grinder, I am going to bite the bullet soon. It is scary to turn them over to someone and leave them for the first time.
