I'm so glad you posted this, as I'm also looking for answers to this situation, myself...I don't believe swattin' them for anything, except life and death situations...The ONLY time I swatted Apple was for chewing on electrical cords, and she has never done it again...I used a couple of sheets of newspaper, rolled up, but it worked...However, I almost hate taking her out in the back-yard, as she picks up every little leaf, twig or branch, and proceeds to chew on it...I've combed my back yard for anything that might be harmful to her....I've always let other puppies do this, in the past, but they were larger breeds, and I wasn't concerned about intestinal blockage, etc...Sooooooooo, I'm off work today, and I'm going to sit back and check this site, periodically, to see what some of the seasoned veterans have to say....Thanks for posting, and all the best to you, and the rest of us that are bumfuddled about this
