I'm glad you mentioned that your pup is a snuggler that loves her bed. I would not recommend you use a higher protein level content grain free food for her (like EVO or Orijen) b/c dogs that consume higher protein levels must be active. Some that are not so high are: Wellness Core, Natural Balance (has several flavor combos), Taste of the Wild, and Merrick BG. Snickers is on EVO (42% protein) but he gets 2 walks a day and we run around the house a ton and he is super active beating up his stuffed animals all day.
If you search "protein" in the search engine, I think a few other threads will pop up. I wondered this for Snickers as well before switching to Evo. Good luck
