first of all, i would not even tell my family members how much my kids "cost" ... it is my business and no one elses! i have had friends ask and i refuse to put a dollar amount on it...i try to be vague and change the subject
i read on here someone saying they told rude strangers their baby was a rescue (in reality their baby was not a rescue) and i think this is a great idea! not only would we get it into peoples minds the idea to rescue - rather than get an overpriced and more than likely unhealthy pet store/puppy mill pup - and also it might make our furkid seem less "valuable" to them...i am paranoid about people trying to steal my babies and i feel if i told them how much i paid for real, i would get the weirdo/thief who would steal my babies!
