My pup is also quite timid of things when we are outside--especially at night! He'll see a bag rustling and take off and then of course i take off running behind him to realize its nothing!
Also he saw busted tennis ball and he REFUSED to walk near it??? He crept by it and hid behind me and i'm like you are a big baby. Glad to know my boy isn't the only one afraid of strange things...
