Besides family. the only people who have asked were seriously looking for a breeder, and they seemed knowledge enough that the price didn't seem to phase them. I wouldn't want to tell some people though, I met one lady who told me she just bought a "teacup" that weekend, and paid a "bundle – $800.00" I didn't ask the price, she just offered. I certainly wasn't going to tell her how much I paid for Joey since she kept talking about how big Joey was and how her teacup would stay small. I don't think of it so much as buying a Yorkie, but I think of it as supporting a breeder whose breeding program meets my approval. Sometimes you can give a generic answer and just tell them the range in your area for yorkies, this can be helpful without giving out too much personal information.
