I'll look at the gate I have, but, I know the slats are 2 inches(which is standard) and although my puppy could walk through it when she got home(she was 1 1/2 lbs), she can't anymore, she's a little over 2 lbs. My hubby actually took poster board and cut it and then put ties through the poster board and around the slats(so high up) so she couldn't walk through it anymore. The gate I bought was from
