Default Should I Have Him Biopsy-ed?

My 7 months old Charlie is getting neutered today. He's also getting 9 baby teeth pulled (ugh!) and microchiped. His total bill will be around $1000 because he's also getting a lump on his neck removed.

They tested his lump earlier and it came back as "unknown" and that there was inflammation. But the chances of it being cancerous according to the vet is very low or close to none. But since he's under anyway, might as well remove it to be safe.

Now the vet just called and asked me if we should send the removed mass to the lab to be tested. That's another $100. I really am over my budget and want to see what everyone thinks in regards to doing that. Do you think it's necessary? If so, I'll do it but if it's removed already - what's the point ... then I'd really should save the money ...

What do you think?? Please help.
