I am just so used to seeing Ellie and she is so obvioulsy gold that a lot of Yorkies look tan to me (even if they are a lighter gold).
And I reallllly don't understand the black, steel blue, silver thing.
I can't tell the difference between black and steel blue because I think some say steel blue is lighter black and maybe some silver but then others say you should see no silver, etc. I don't know. |
O I'm so glad you said this....it's good to know I'm not alone! To me, she's so light on top of her head and around the edges of her face, I thought she was tan too! In fact, I thought tan MEANT lighter around with a little darker around the muzzle, but good grief it's objective! But, like some said, maybe she's just going to keep changing. So my question is, I guess there are different shades of gold??? As for blue/black.....since there isn't an option for silver, I just figured anything that wasn't solid black was blue. I know there are definitely different shades of that.....and I think different breeders have different ideas about what blue is the correct blue. I, on the other hand, have no idea which is correct and which is not!
Here are a couple of pics.....which are tan (if any). And, what color would you call your baby, Sugar's Mom (see below)?? It's all so confusing
