sorry you have so many issues. I think you should be able to overcome all these things including the leather ear. When cleaning the ear off - or using as very small amt of tea tree oil on a cotton pad - the black gunk would come off - I did rub some of it off with my nail. Do not overuse the oil, but be consistent & spring is right around the corner
