When I stated I looked at the Rescue section everyday I was offering a compliment to the people who do the rescues. Trust me I hold those people in the highest regards.
I agree children should be taught to how to treat an aminal with respect. For those of you who have children and have done so that is wonderful and I am being sincere with that compliment.

Oh please don't be upset. I hope that I didn't come across in a bad way. All I was trying to say is that I don't feel this girls age should be an excuse for her actions. Most children would know better.
I know that mine do. They aren't even allowed to hold Missy unless they are sitting down and she's in their lap. Not all kids (or even adults) know better though. There are often times that my children have to guide their friends or even other adults as to how to handle Missy properly.
Please, please don't be offended or feel that you have to find another forum to post on.
