I have a kid's playpen I bought for Mia she is only 9wks old today, and me and my bf work full time so this come's in handy...I put a pee pad at one end of the playpen with food and water and then a couple blankets on the other side a couple of chew toys and one small stuffed toy that has the "scent" of her litter mates on it so I think this makes her more comfortable.. I recommend leaving a pee pad out at all times.. Your puppy may not get the idea of going potty on this at first but it takes time you just have to be consistent and keep putting Bailey on the pad, I dont know if you have a Target near you but I purchase mine from there because the have adhesive strips on the bottom of the pad and this ensures the pad from sliding across the room! good luck!!!
