They did stress the importance of the low protein diet. I'm going to do exactly what they say.

Remember though, she *should* remain on a special diet for life. Just b/c her shunt is closed doesn't dismiss that she has liver disease. If you overwork the liver by feeding her the wrong food, she *can* shoot another shunt and/or acquire MVD.

The RC H14 Kibble or L/D is *really what she should remain eating, even well past a normal BAT. She should NEVER be feed anything that has meat or organs. Low, but quality protein....
