Yes this is perfectly normal, and it use to crack me up when Joey did this. They are just showing their dominance over the stuffed animal, but don't ever let them hump a human. Dogs should learn that humans are the pack leader or head honcho. Some dogs continue to do this, but Joey stopped about a month after he was neutered. It bothers some people, but they say that if you discourage it, they will just learn to do it in private.
