YorkieRose-I did not know the YTCA allowed Biewer breeders. Most are very anti non-standard color breeding...but again perhaps things are changing.
I am assuming this question or comment was for me so I feel it should be addressed. I will probably never be allowed to affiliate myself with the YTCA due to the fact I breed for colors with the Biewers. But that is okay with me my love and passion will never be dictated to me by any group. Sorry if what I posted implied that I was implicating an association with this group.
From my orginal post
:"I have to reply that I have two mentors...." The reason I have two mentor as I am breeding Yorkies and Biewers, both type of yorkies.
I mentor under the breeder in Germany that I have purchased my Biewers through. Since this breed is so new I value her experience and feel I can learn from her experience. I am planning on going to Germany next October (2006) if all goes well. To get acquainted with the breeders there as well as showing some of my Biewers in there home country. I am very excited about the trip, it will be a great learning adventure.
Then my second mentor is a breeder of the yorkshire terriers. She has breed yorkies for 45+ years and has very beautiful yorkies. Her daughter was high society in show and they worked very close with one another, before her daughter untimely death. I value her opinion as well.
I guess I should have made myself a little clearer on my mentor's the first time I posted, sorry for the confusion....
