Default Update on Doolittle

Tests yesterday showed his BUN at 209. Today it had gone down to 40! The vet was exremely surprised and happy it had dropped so much. The ultrasound showed it isn't congenital so they think he had to have gotten into something. Most likely, my husband dropped ibuprofen and didn't pick it up. I just got onto him about that a few weeks ago. We don't know for sure that is it; but, it does look like Doolittle might be okay.

Yesterday when I went to see him I got some puppy kisses. Today he was very sleepy and didn't interact. I'm still hopefull though because of the test results. They are going to cap off the IV tonight or in the morning and retest 24 hrs later and hope that the BUN doesn't creep back up.

Now, I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to pay the already $700 vet bill. I'm glad my husband is on a mission trip in Guatemala.
