My mom's yorkie itches at the slightest thing. I have a very small boy that was the runt of his litter and I think if I had not gotten him on vitamins and special food we would have lost him, but he has Demodex I have to give him Promeris and bath him once a week or he starts to loose his hair You have to let your vet help you with itching if it is allergies they can test him which a full panel allergy test, itis expensive but it is a one-time thing and settles the matter once and for all. I think my mom's Yorkie is nervous because he only scratches at night I suggested mom walk him or let him run outside and work off some nervouse energy before bedtime, she said it seems to be working
