Yorkies coats change a lot, Fiona just lost all her black puppy hair since I cut her, and now she is silver and tan, so it all depends on what your babies hair will grown into, since she is still young.
If your baby is playing a lot, and drinking a lot, i would take her out on the hour every hour. I was lucky with Fiona since she was about 3 months old when I got her, and pretty much crate/ potty trained!
My question to you, is that are you crate training? I am a firm believer in crate training. If you are, potty training can be easy. I used to be a vet tech, and i would give puppy talks to new owners with puppies, so here are some tips for you;
first thing in the morning, your baby is obviously going to have to go out. if you are crate training, take her out of the crate and go outside. obviously she will probably have to do both things, so what i do with Fiona is I came up with a command word- please know that if you have other people in your household you need to all use the SAME command word, and you are only going to say this word while they are in the act of doing something, not before, not after. So when Fiona would squat and pee pee, i would say " good potty, good girl, good pee pee" and then reward her a lot, if i was outside with her for a good 15 min and she does one over the other, i would bring her inside, put her in the crate for 10 min and try again, and she would go. being consist is the key to potty training, now its to the point, when she needs to go out, she will stand by the door and just bark at me, and when i take her out, i'll say take a squat, and she will go.
