My biggest concern about taking a dog into a hotel that is not pet friendly are health issues for those who will be sleeping in the room after you. For example, my grandmother and mother have dog allergies so badly that if they were to stay in a hotel room after someone had a dog in the room, they would have a pretty bad reaction if the room was cleaned up REALLY well. Some people may have to check to make sure it ISN'T pet friendly. Something to consider.
