Nutri-cal should only be given if there are symptoms of hypoglycemia. Nutri-cal is mainly corn syrup, and can cause diarrhea. It is sometimes given to tinies, if they are experiencing low blood sugar, as this can cause loss of appetite, but too much is like giving a kid a candy bar, and can also ruin their appetite. Once your pup reaches 4 pounds there is usually no need for Nutri-cal, unless something else is going on. Glad he's doing better.
