My first post - and it's about how much I spent! We just got our little girl Sadie in December. Our 15 year old Shih Tzu died in October. A week before she died we spent about $1,500 trying to save her knowing that it probably wasn't going to buy her much time. When we started looking for a Yorkie, I found a very good breeder that I wanted to use in Atlanta (about 4 hours away). Her females ranged from about $1,200 to $1,800 for a limited registration. Of course, the one that chose me was the $1,800 one. The "purchase" price is insignificant to me compared to the next 15 years of care and love we give each other. My husband kind of choked but he's really very good to me.
I asked him recently if she was worth the money and he said she was easily worth ten times what we spent.
