All dogs are different. They tell you to spay at 6 months old, and fiona got hers as soon as she turned 7 months old, i was debating with my vet and he told me to wait till the end of the october to get her fixed, and i told him she would be 7 months old with me, and he wanted me to wait.... they can be in heat for about 3 weeks, the first week is when you will see the discharge, she was supposed to get spayed 11/1/08 and it got pushed back till 11/25/08- the vet said she had a false pregnancy which basically meant that her body thought she was pregnant, but really wasnt. so she did fine!
