that happened to charlie too. He was doing very well sleeping in his crate and then out of the blue he whines and cries. I tried to ignore it but with other people in the house it is hard. so I would always go out and play with him to tired him out..once he is tired out, then he will go sleep and there will be no more whining and crying. That happened for almost two weeks and now he is fine sleeping in there again. However, sometimes in the morning he will whine and cry after i take him out to potty and put him back in the crate. He always want to cuddle by the fireplace in the morning before he goes back in his crate..what a baby! hopefully your baby will grow out of that and back to sleeping quietly in his crate again.
