The bummer deal is,you can't give in,no matter what, that's positive reinforcement and while it may be easier now to just give in after so much irritation, it will only further his behavior, gauranteed, give it a few hard nights without giving in, and force yourself to get up in the night and hit his cage and make a nasty, mean noise.
