Is putting his crate next to your bed an option? Ours are in their expen downstairs at night.
putting the crate next to you bed is a good idea. I used to let my yorkie sleep with me and when I bring my new one home, I will be letting him sleep with me too. I find that this is an easy way to keep track of them and there has never (knock on wood for when I get my new one) been any going to the bathroom on my bed! Plus it is nice to have them close...

But put him in there and he will catch on again. just DON'T CAVE!
