I just read through the thread, and yes, they were neutered. Also, after reading through that thread and seeing those pictures, they did need to be rescued. I am just saddened they couldn't get the female.
One way to help in these situations is to try and find out who the broker is. There are ways of dealing with those people and the people who are purchasing them by making them known public. It doesn't totally stop them, but it sure makes them angry.
