Hair shine is mostly genetics and shinny hair depends on how the light hits the hair. Do you really think everyone can have shiny hair if they eat an egg, or add a supplement to their diet? Or use Pantene for that matter? I wish! The smoother the hair shaft the shinier the hair, and that’s why straighter hair is perceived as shinier. I'm not saying good nutrition isn't important, and there has been success reported with omega-3 and omega-6 essential fatty acids, however they need to be used in the right combinations. There are topical grooming aids that can be applied to the hair to make it look shiner by making light bounce off it in a different way.
