When Chloe opened a bottle of baby proof Advil and licked the coating, I of course could not tell if she had ingested any, so I went to the vet right away. She told me anytime small dogs ingest something toxic, or if they might have, get bloodwork done even if no symptoms are present. The reason is longer term permanent damage can occur to major organs, including the liver. If we get to the vet soon enough and have tests run, they can induce vomiting or run IV fluids to wash the product out of their system before damage can be done. In fact, she said just one advil can actually kill a small dog or cat. Our babies are just too important to take a chance.
