Actually, no, I hadn't thought about putting something in the middle of the pad. What do you suggest?
Thor's hilarious on the pad. He does just as much circling and sniffing on his little 2 x 2 square as he would on a full city block. Sometimes he's really close to the edge, but 99% have been totally on the pad.
Oh, and he's finally resorted to completely fake pees. I guess the two dozen times he's already going per day do not provide him with enough access to the refrigerator. It's like he's an addict! He was soooooo sad when I didn't give him a treat just for squatting. At some point, I'm going to have to stop giving him treats for every little drop. Should I start weaning him off now, or wait until the end of thirty days? I'm worried at that point he'll be shocked if his treats dry up.
For Chloesmama, I have to agree with lemonlauren, it sounds like Sydney is thinking outside of the box, as it were. Does he get a treat for going outside? I assume Chloe is still going indoors because she's too young for outdoors training? I'm not sure what the best solution is, but I'm thinking if Sydney only gets treats outside, he'll give up on the indoor peeing. He's trying to diversify his treat stream.
