we got our girl and our boy for around 700 a peice. We keep in contact with both breeders and are very satisfied with our kids. we took a risk living in california and having the dogs sent on an airline from arkansas but both times it worked out from two different breeders. The prices in calfornia were just way too much. I am really glad our story has ended happily. However, buying locally in most cases is the best thing to do. Your individual situation will dictate.
In most cases if the price seems to high you may want to look much closer into why the pups cost alot. some of the time it will be because the pup is from a champion blood line or it could also be a greedy puppy mill trying to scam people out of their money.
