I have never heard of just being able to look under a microscope like your vet did and know it is cancer. Usually it has to be sent off to have a biopsy done and it takes awhile to know if it is cancer. The other thing that has me terribly upset is the fact that this vet gave vaccinations to a sick dog. Vaccinating a dog that has cancer is like putting fuel on a fire. A year ago one of my 7 year old females had a grape size tumor on her head and my vet removed it and spayed her for around $150. You might think of getting a second opinion. I think it is so wonderful that you are taking in this poor abused baby. I pray everything turns out well for him. Please keep us posted on his progress. |
