Hello Friends,

Today is the 5th day since the puppies were born. The day they were born, they looked relatively the same size (stupid me didn't weigh them). Well 5 days later the girl that has mostly white on her weighs 4.80 oz, exactly twice as much as her sister. The sister weighs 2.40 oz. They have both been feeding from the mother but the smaller one is a bit harder to feed since she doesn't keep her mouth in one place. So we have to hold her and squeeze the milk from the mother while she drinks every three hours. The smaller one has a very small frame and the stomach looks full as normal.

Today we took both the puppies to get their tails and dew claws docked. The vet didn't seem too alarmed about the size difference. Everything else went well. She seems to be just as active as the larger one.

I'm used to seeing apparent size differences when runts come out at birth so in this case it had me wondering.
