Great post by lemonlauren.

I agree especially with point #1. It was much, much harder to potty train Thor than I expected. I was also very surprised at how frustrated I got sometimes. Before I got down to serious potty training, Thor would sometimes have accidents and I'd clean them up, no big deal. He's a small dog, he can't do much damage.

But when I was really trying and thought he "got it", only to find a spot on the rug, I had to struggle sometimes to stay calm. Once I had to put Thor in his crate because I knew I was on the verge of blowing a gasket. I totally believe that it's never the dog's fault, etc, etc, but I still got upset.

Anyway, if you find yourself thinking that it's a hopeless cause, take a deep breath and know other people have been there.
