I am both...I let the run around in the park and be really dirty!
Take them out for long walks except in the winter. We do treadmill in the winter. I spoil them with toys, treats, and they have bigger closet than I do with designer clothes. lol
But my hubby and I always make sure they can be themselves and run free and dirty..I think as long as you balance both, it is fine. I actually see them as my own babies and i know but I can't help it.
