I think many eye glass places rip you off. You can look on ebay for frames and go to Walmart for lenses. I wanted new frames that were Dolce & Gabbana, in the local mall the frames alone were almost $700 CAN without lenses.

I went downtown to the chinese district and found the frames for $340 including taxes. Got the lenses at Walmart for less than $100. So the glasses I wanted at Lenscrafters that would of cost over $1000 I got for less than $500 for the exact same thing. So check around. The glasses I got were expensive but I think you can find great deals other than the major eyeglass store have.
