Our puppy mill bill will be voted on BY THURSDAY!! We need your help immediately!!
We wanted to let you know that some very exciting advances have occurred in recent weeks regarding the treatment of breeding dogs here in Washington. First of all, SB 5651 was introduced by Sen. Jeanne Kohl-Welles (D-36), and after some very compelling testimony in the Senate Labor & Commerce Committee, our bill has passed through unanimously. Subsequently, our bill has been pulled in the Senate Rules Committee and we are awaiting a Senate Floor hearing for SB 5651 sometime before the cutoff this coming Friday.
It is imperative that you speak up for this bill and let your senator know that protecting dogs and preventing puppy mills is important to Washingtonians and they need to VOTE YES on SB 5651!
