I'm sorry, but to me - that is just not in the spirit of a true rescue organization. Am I just off-base in thinking this is odd or the intent is "off"? | Good Post. I'm happy these biewers got good homes but honestly, a good rescue's intention when they go to these auctions (or at least should be their intention) is to get the most needy out without lining the pockets of the millers. The only thing I will say is that when I just looked at their website (OKYR) I do not see any puppies but I do see quite a few older dogs or dogs with medical so I do think although they may have slipped up that they seem to be reputable in that they are taking in harder to place dogs. Just my .02. I do hope they will rethink on how they buy from auctions. If they are going to attend an auction then attend for the right reason and that is to save the most needy, the old, the sick, the ones without hope. Elaine |
